Withdrawal Policy
The PJT receives far more applications than spots that are made available in our tournaments. Players who need to withdraw from a tournament should proceed as follows:
1. Online - If the day you are canceling out of a tournament is more than 1 week from the tournament date, log in to your Players Club Account with the id and password you were supplied with when you registered for the respective season. If the day you are canceling is within 1 week from the tournament date, please proceed to step 2.
Once you have gained access to your Players Club Account, select the "Tournaments" tab which is located at the top of your account.

Once selected, your tournament registration schedule will appear. Scroll down to the respective event that you are currently registered for and a "Cancel" link should appear underneath the "Status" column.

Select "Cancel" and a prompt will appear clarifying if you wish to proceed with the cancellation. All cancellations/withdrawals will be assessed a $5 transaction fee.

On-Site Withdrawal Policy
Due to the increase in the number of on-site withdrawals, the PJT has instituted the following withdrawal policy for players who withdraw after they have started their first round.
After play has begun, all players wishing to withdraw must report to the Tournament Director or a member of the Philadelphia Section PGA Field Staff before leaving the host facility. The Tournament Director may ask the player's fellow competitors about any sickness or injury. After sufficient information has been gathered, the Tournament Director will categorize the player's withdrawal into 1 of 3 categories listed below and the corresponding action will take place.
Justified Withdrawal
The player is obviously ill, injured, or a family emergency has occurred. The Tournament Director will make note of the date of the withdrawal and the reason for withdrawing. Once the tournament is official, a "WD" will be listed to the player's name in the tournament results. The Tournament Director will report the withdrawal to the PJT Committee and no further action will take place.
Questionable Withdrawal
The Tournament Director is unable to determine if a player has a legitimate reason for withdrawing or a weather delay may cause a player to miss future obligations which will lead to incurring significant costs if the player remains in the tournament. The Tournament Director will make note of the date of the withdrawal and the reason for withdrawing. Once the tournament is official, a "WD" will be listed next to the player's name in the tournament results. The Tournament Director will report the withdrawal to the PJT Committee and a questionable withdrawal will be recorded in the player's history.
If a player receives three questionable withdrawals, the player will not be eligible for post season events and year-end honors (i.e. Harry Hammond Invitational, Junior Challenge Cup, Junior Tour Championship, Player of the Year or Scoring Average Leader).
Unjustified Withdrawal
The player is obviously withdrawing due to poor play or lack of ambition to play. This also includes a player failing to mention to the Tournament Director his inability to make his scheduled tee time and players leaving the host facility and/or failing to show up for any subsequent rounds of an event without talking to the Tournament Director or Philadelphia Section PGA Field Staff.
This is a serious breach of the PJT Withdrawal Policy and the Tournament Director will rule the withdrawal unjustified. The Tournament Director will make note of the date of the withdrawal and the reason for withdrawing. Once the tournament is official, a "DQ" will be listed next to the player's name in the tournament results. The Tournament Director will report the withdrawal to the PJT Committee and an unjustified withdrawal will be recorded in the player's history.
One unjustified withdrawal will result in the player not being eligible for post season events and year-end honors (i.e. Harry Hammond Invitational, Junior Challenge Cup, Junior Tour Championship, Player of the Year or Scoring Average Leader).
